Bluetooth Scatternet Routing for Wireless Home Network

Abstract

In this paper, we present a routing protocol for a wireless Bluetooth home network. In a house, we can use the protocol to connect electric appliances such as video, computer, refrigerator, etc. This will let us control the devices easily and it will be more convenient for human beings. Our protocol applies to the architecture proposed in [2]. We reduce the header length from 16 bits to 14 bits and decrease the number of hops in a longest routing path from 6 to 4 in some situations. We also analyze the performances.
