| dc.description.abstract | 《公羊傳》與《穀梁傳》側重以義說經，積極於字句中去詮發孔子的褒貶善惡之意。人倫中以父子關係及君臣關係為首，二傳對此著墨甚多，然二傳對忠、孝議題的看法與評價各不相同。_x000D_ 《公羊傳》主張君臣關係以「義」作為最高指導原則，君臣雙方都平等被要求以「義」行事，君臣關係的存廢亦以「義」作為依據。君權不再無止盡的擴大濫用，為臣者也不再因君之無道而進退兩難。故面對忠、孝衝突時，《公羊傳》並不強求忠、孝兩全，只要當時的情況合理正當，縱使有失為臣之道亦無妨。_x000D_ 但在《穀梁傳》中強調君權天命的觀念，君為臣之天，縱使君王無道，人臣仍須遵守忠貞之道。而面對忠、孝衝突時，其主張君臣、父子二倫同等重要，故反對重孝而輕忠。《穀梁傳》突顯君王的地位，要求臣子的忠貞與服從，可惜卻缺乏對君王無道與濫權的約制。 | |

| dc.description.translationabstract | Both Gongyang’s Annals and Gu Liang’s Annals focus on righteousness, trying their best to interpret Confucius’s belief in praising the good and hating evil. Of all the ethical standards, the relationships between father and son and between monarch and courtier are, undoubtedly, the two most important, and they are also emphasized in the above-mentioned two works. However, the two works hold different views of_x000D_ loyalty and filial piety._x000D_ Gongyang’s Annals advocates “righteousness” as the highest guiding principle in terms of the monarch-courtier relationship. Both the monarch and his courtiers are asked to work equally on the basis of “righteousness,” and the maintenance and abolition of the relationship are also based on it so that sovereignty will be not expanded and abused without limit, and that the courtiers will not be placed in a dilemma when the monarch does not meet the ethical standards. Therefore, facing the conflict between loyalty and filial piety, Gongyang does not stress the fulfillment of_x000D_ both under some reasonable and justifiable circumstances._x000D_ Nevertheless, Gu Liang places emphasis on the concept of the supremacy of sovereignty that the monarch is the god of the courtiers, so even if the monarch is unethical, his courtiers must retain their loyalty to him. When loyalty and filial piety conflict with each other, Gu Liang claims that the monarch-courtier and father-son_x000D_ relationships are equally important, so he opposes valuing filial piety and belittling_x000D_ loyalty. Gu Liang’s Annals highlights the position of the monarch who requires the courtiers’ loyalty and obedience, but lacks the restraint on the monarch’s immorality and the abuse of his sovereignty. | |
