dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a tool to quickly generate the system architecture of embedded system for complex multimedia applications. Given the system specifications and constraints of a particular multimedia system, the tool not only partitions and maps each computation task of the multimedia application into a hardware/software component, but also schedules and pipelines the execution of these computation tasks. Because of considering the execution time, area, and communication time of each computation task carefully, the proposed tool can quickly construct the feasible system architecture with minimum area for multimedia applications while meeting the realtime requirement. | |
