dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a vision-based lateral collision avodiance system, which makes use of rearview mirror images to eliminate blind zones on the left on the vehicle. Using the images sequences given by a camera installed near the left lateral rearview mirror, the system is able to detect potential obstacles thanks to a road line detection method, a perspective-compensation resampling process and motion estimation.
