AN ELECTRONIC VOTING SYSTEM WITH ENHANCED SECURITY

Abstract

In this paper, we present a voting protocol, which satisfies a variety of desiring requirements of voting protocols. In particular, we propose to incorporate the concept of the session public-key/private-key pair, which serves as apermit to vote, into the voting scheme such that the privacy of the voters can be preserved and that the votes can not be forged by malicious parites. The computation and communication overhead of the scheme is reasonable for conducting a large scale election on the Internet.
