MACE:a Mobile Agent Carrier Environment

Abstract

This paper presents a Mobile Agent Carrier Environment-MACE is designed in allusion to a new computation notion called the service-on-demand that makes its design philosophy quite different. A mobile agent carrier environment instead of a mobile agent development system is constructed. A specially designed protocol. The Service Framework provides an easy and flexible way of building service-oriented applications. In the framework, a service is abstracted and realized by tow closely related components, an Agentlet and a Serverlet; and the mobile agent carrier plays the role in associating them together. While special in its architecture. MACE retains the flexibility of a general mobile agent system. It may as well support many other domains of applications without any difficulty.
