dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we propose an RSVP extension scheme for seamless handoff in heterogeneous WLAN/WiMAX networks. This scheme is based on QoS aware mobility architecture to guarantee a certain QoS. The network selection is initiated by the mobility of the MS and pre-handoff is performed based on signal strength. On the other hand, if the selection is triggered by congestion, the handoff is based on congestion controlling delay according to the QoS parameters. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms previous schemes.
