dc.description.abstract􀋔􀋵􀌆􀌇􀌅􀋴􀋶􀌇􀊳 􀊳 This article discusses and analyzes the application of information technology and E-Business at the Wang Group, and how it empowers the full spectrum expansion of its business from Taiwan to the overseas and from the intranet to the extranet. The highly efficient technology application provides differential and ongoing advantage for its proprietary assets and helps achieving the goal of allowing the customers to fully experience the gourmet quality and taste at Wang Group chain restaurants. The key point for the success of the Wang Group lies in its ability to precisely manage the cost control of its core products and abide by its corporate philosophy of the customer priority. The information management system serves as the catalyst of the corporate operation. The highly effective management system allows Wang Group to adjust its business accordingly and helps the company achieve the leadership status in the highly competitive restaurant industry. There are two major parts of its information management system: one is the intra-system operation model which serves the following purpose: the function and role of the information system ; the other is the extra-system operation model which serves the following purposes: integrating the operation procedures to improve the efficiency and reducing the cost, managing the customer satisfaction effectively in a timely manner, developing the restaurant management e-system. The corporate culture of Wang Group is focused on both customers and employees, which help create the caring relationship between the employee and the customer. Combining the technology application with its corporate culture creates Wang Group unique competiveness which is unrivaled in Taiwan’s restaurant industry.
