| dc.description.abstract | The recent United Airways incident has prompted outrage over social media. While passengers are insulted in such unacceptable manner, why would United Airlines survive in the highly-competitive aviation industry? Base on this incident, we conducted a series of investigations and analyses to find out the factors that support United Airlines’ survival. We first conducted a comprehensive analysis on the US aviation industry, in which we compared various financial ratios and modes of operations. We then investigated the cause of this incident, PR responses, and the financial impacts brought by this incident. | |
