從資訊素養探討公共圖書館在資訊服務中的角色

Abstract

在資訊發達、社會急遽變遷的多元化時代裡，當人們面對瞬息萬變的資訊時，無不顯得迷茫，也有些無所適從。如何判斷資訊、擷取資訊，進而運用資 訊，著實讓人們面臨很大的挑戰。在這種情形之下，資訊素養與終身學習便成了大家所關心的話題。早在七○年代，教育先進的國家為了提昇國民的競爭力，就已經重視資訊素養的培育工作。本文的主題，即探討公共圖書館在推動資訊素養活動的過程中，如何提昇資訊服務、以及如何引導與協助民眾進入資訊領域的終身學習的境界，並就目前公共圖書館發展的情況提出建議。

In the Information Age, how to search information, use information and appraise information is a serious challenge to the people. Emphasizing the expansion of information literacy and lifelong learning becomes the main point. The purpose of the article is to investigate the responsibility for the public libraries to make the people aware of the significance of these concepts through their education programs. Finally, some recommendations will help to develop the present condition of public libraries.
