Sharing Secret Image Based on Bit Plane

Abstract

Most secret sharing schemes transform the gray-level images into the halftone images so that the original images cannot be recovered completely. In 2005, Lukac and Plataniotis proposed a bit-level based secret sharing scheme to improve the disadvantage. However, the above-mentioned method exists the problem of pixel expansion. The paper proposes an improved secret shar-ing scheme based on bit plane. Experimental results will show the feasibility of the proposed scheme.
